An old friend showed me a pic of an "eel" he caught at the duckpond a few years back. To those of you who know the duckpond is a place to catch carp in Arlington. I recognized what that old turkey had caught, a grinnel. So I guess they can be put on the rough fish list for that little pond. Does any one have any tips on how to catch those every one of them litterally one of them was caught by accident in east tx, it was about 6 lbs and fought like a devil.

Circle hook and a chunk of bait fish, doesn't matter what kind, if they're around you'll know pretty quickly

Soft plastics in six inches or less of water works for me. They ambush food from the shore line i've seen them so shallow they were sticking out of the water.
