Carping memories

Carping memories - 09/11/20 08:59 PM

I went thru some of my older SD cards an came across a few carping pics. I thought I would put a few out there.

My State record river carpsucker from Joe Pool.

My PB carp from Lake Austin (Emma). The deer in the headlights look is because my bite alarm went off at about 4:30 in the morning. Climbing out out a sleeping bag in a hurry will do that to you.lol

Lake Waco record smallmouth buffalo.

Thanks. Just checked on the lake record from lake Waco and saw that I had been beaten out by a couple of pounds by an accidental catch on a minnow. Oh well.

Awesome catches! That River Carpsucker is super cool, interesting color on him. My dad's PB was at 4:30AM at Emma too! I guess that's the magic hour

A couple of nice ones caught on the Llano River last year. Rick aka Catyakker and myself. Both fish were released to fight again. Lifetime Memories.

Here is a Lake Arlington Koi. I was very surprised to see that one.

Lake Arlington mirror. There is a surprisingly high number of mirror carp in Lake Arlington.

Hey guys. I just looked through this thread again and couldn’t help but notice that we’re all a little heavy in the graybeard department.

A gold fish that I caught on a bread ball in a park pond in Arlington.

A confused "carp" that I caught on a dough ball at the Lynn Creek Marina at Joe Pool. This trash fish weighed in at just over 7 pounds.

Here is a picture of Charlie (Grandpa), a long lime TFFer, on what I believe was one of his last fishing trips. He was hooked up to a carp at the time of the pic. We were at Lake Quitman.

Here is a pic of my grand nephew with a rare mirror carp he caught at Quitman.
