A week of buff/carp in Dallas - 02/21/20 05:40 PM

Back from an epic fishing trip in Dallas. Plan was to do it myself and land my first buff, hopefully in the 20 lbs range. Mission more than accomplished, read more details about my adventure at:
http://freshwater-phil.blogspot.com/2020/02/fishing-for-buffs-buffalo-in-texas.html

Thank you Finley (txmultispecies) for all your tips, and "Buffalo" Bob (Kaboboom) for inviting me out to fish your unique setup with you smile

I read the story on the link, awesome read! Years ago I fished out there from a boat slip at that marina and had a blast also. I like the dock on Eagle mountain lake also, the one by the dam. How do you make the holes in the nuts? Cordless drill with a small bit?

Boilie drill, by hand. Too sensitive/soft for electric drill.

Thanka again. Have to say, if someone were to replicate that setup on Fork, they would have some serious fun.

I've caught many a fish on nuts - they're one of my go-tos when the bite is tough!

Thanks all, had a blast. It was my first time back in Dallas since 2016. Enjoyed some good times both with extended family and fishing with Bob.
