Took my nephew fishing

He is a city boy through and through. The look on his face when he saw the size of that buff is priceless. Normally I would not lay the fish on the dock but I could not get him to hold it let alone touch it and I had to get a pic. (Hey he went fishing instead of playing fort nights, that is a BIG deal) He has not stopped talking about catching a "huge fish". Brings a smile to my face.

Thought I would share. Made me darn proud of the boy. I have always been the cool uncle, I think I went up even a few more notches.

Very nice. A little less screen time and a lot more fishing would be a good thing.

Thanks. Took him back to him momma and daddy today. He hugged me and said "When can I come back?" I just told him to be patient, wait until spring and I will come get him and we can hang out again. Next time maybe the crappie will be biting. We tried for a few hours before I tried carp/buffs with some stale pastry, a handful of old fruit loops and some apple juice.

I am glad I did.
