What did I catch?

fter a 20 or 30 year break,I returned to carp fishing.Cedar creek,my sea wall while I do chores. The
first 8 or 10 carp I grew up with.Then I caught fish carp size and shape, butinstead of goldish red,
it had a mostly black backbone and random black marks on both sides.Sorry a'int smart enough to post pics.I took a pic and put him back.Since then Ihave caught 4 total.simaler ,but different markings.
I have 4 different pics. 8 to 12 lb.range. WHAT DID I CATCH?

Did it have barbels or not? No barbels it's a sucker, probably buffalo. If it's got barbels it's a koi

I caught commons for awhile then 4 mirrors then more commons ?

i think they run together mostly but that is just my opinion . hope you can get more of them soon ..so your saying this id the first time you have caught them ?

have you caught some buffalos yet there ?

one more question ..what are using for bAit ?

I did not start carping untill about 4 or 5 months ago.I fish while I do yard work and boat stuff.
1 or2 days aweek for a couple of hours.maybe 10 or 12 times 2to 3 hours.at first I libbys sweet corn
in the small cups.now I am using boiled field corn.I chum a little with range cube and some leftover
chick starter crumbles .beginners luck!
