Went out this weekend 50 miles and took my 80yr old dad.. he hung in there on a long day!

We hooked into some BIG amberjacks but couldn't get one in after several breakoffs..

Dad did get some good chick mahi action which was perfect for him! They ate good too!

How far out was it to the bluewater??? We used to run straight out of the jetties and drift the short rigs with ribeye's and catch the fire out of Kings and big snapper. Reminds me of why I love that sleepy little town, great pictures Chase. Thank you for sharing

Blue water was about 18 miles out... But BLUE water was about 40ish.. lol

we wacked the slot and bull reds pretty good last week and also got some great eating bonus flounder!
