Mud bug minus the mud!

Mud bug minus the mud! - 03/07/15 01:12 PM

I've had this guy since he was about the size of a grain of rice. They have very vivid colors when raised in clean water.

Anyone know which of the 654 crayfish species this one might be? smile

That is pretty cool. There is a place near me that sells these "snow white" craws.

Those are cool looking too. Mine came from a ditch, East of Dallas. It just amazes me that there are 654 species of these things. cheers

I feed it cichlid fish pellets. They will eat smaller ones of their own kind though! eeks

I just caught one that has hundreds of babies under her tail. Is it possible to keep them alive? I know absolutely nothing about crawfish other than they taste good.

Yes. put them in dechlorinated water. Add a small air pump to help keep the water cleaner. flush freak

Feed them bacon man. It's like steroids for craws. They'll get as big as lobsters.

Do you think they are called a chimney crayfish because they dig holes and build mounds like these?
