Trip with my dad - 09/22/10 02:38 AM

Sorry these pics aren't embedded. I couldn't figure that part out. This was my first time posting pics.

Here are a few pics from a trip to Alaska my dad and I took a couple years ago. We went to Soldotna, about 150 miles south of Anchorage. A week of fishing in Alaska is a trip of a lifetime! If you ever get a chance I would highly recommend going after some King Salmon.
Me and my 60 pounder

Thanks everyone. It truly was a trip of a lifetime. I hope he and I get to do it again sometime.

Hooker, I'll let you be a "stand in" anytime. There's just one catch. You have to do exactly what my dad did and pay for all of it....lol

Re: Trip with my dad - 09/24/10 12:33 PM

Thanks for the comments everybody.
The best part about it, besides the obvious getting to spend time with my dad, was experiencing a completely different style of fishing. From the latex goves, back trolling, yelling at other fishermen to "get out of the way", fishing til 1 in the morning and the sun still being up, getting up at 4:30AM and the sun being back up... All just experiences I'll never forget.
Now my goal is to have the money to take all 3 of my boys when they are older... Better start saving now.
