pretty pretty bass

caught this 7 pounder this evening and she was pretty. The first picture shows a little of the black she had on her tail but the spots are hidden by the shadow.

You can see the spots on her better here around her eye on her bottom lip and down her side - both sides had them. Not the biggest but the most unusual markings I've seen.

Nice looking fish, but the hat's gotta go.....

Before the dam breached on my lake, I had a number of bass with spots like that. I called around and those spots are mere clumps of pigment, like a freckle. They are not disease or mold spots.
