#$@! That's Cold - 05/10/22 05:15 AM
Ice went out last week so time to put the dock out. Had to move 2 of the four 400 lb submerged concrete anchors after the ice moved them 50+feet out of position. Than had to swim out to, dive down to and flip one of them over using a pry bar in the 40 F recently ice covered frigid water. Swam out wearing nothing but a pair of heavy work boots to help my feet on bottom when i was prying. My mid 50s body is getting a little old for that chit. Thank the gods for whiskey.
First step was to reposition the 400 lb submerged anchors:
The 2000 lb paddle board. Paddled the two pieces about 1/4 mile from the winter shelter spot to the summer dock location:
Arrived
Hoisting the ramp
The homemade crane
All done
Now that the dock is out the spring bear hunt is on deck
