Your best landscape photos - 02/25/22 10:39 PM

I really enjoy landscape photography even though I'm quite the amateur at it. It's a continuous shifting of light, shadows, wind, weather, animals, and so much more. Macro and micro. Every picture can be different even a second apart. Wish I would have gotten into nature photography much earlier in life and found a career with National Geographic or a similar platform. Anyway, I took this photo in the Grand Tetons several years ago when my wife and I visited there. For me, in this picture the timing was perfect. Layered sunrise, bugling elk in the meadows, a lake with hovering cloud formations, and the peaks of the Tetons greeting the sunrise. Enjoy. Show me what you've got. I know there are some GREAT photographers on this site. Cheers.

Lower Two Medicine is usually windy unless you get there early in the day.
I was there in 2017 for a family reunion and bunch of us took the boat ride including my 91 year old dad.
They said the boat was also 91 years old too, which was pretty amazing.
I know they take them out of the water in the fall and do repairs all winter and then back out in the summer.

The second pic is upper Harrison Lake, has lots of Cutthroat trout and a few Bull trout. On the West side of GNP.
That lake gets very little activity or pressure because it takes a 6 mile hike in and includes fording the Middle Fork of the Flathead river.

Cross country skiing at Cameron Pass in northern Colorado after a fresh snow. I was trying to ski to the timberline but my partner pooped out before we got there. I skiid on a little higher and took the top pic. I turned around to ski down and took the bottom one. No digital cameras back in those days. I took the pics with an old Argus 35mm. [Linked Image]
