Awesome Trip To Costa Rica

Had to travel to Costa Rica for work but made time to play. Los Suenos didn't disappoint with 4 blue marlin, 10 sails, 6 tuna, and 8 grouper! Our captain and crew of the boat "Gun Smoke" was awesome. Have some awesome video of the marlin but will have to figure out how to post.

Flew to San Jose and fished out of Los Suenos marina in Playa Herradura, but there is solid fishing all the way down the Pacific West coast. Great tarpon fishing on the East coast of Costa Rica as well.

Those are some great fish , Are those totals on one boat in one day ?

First day was Tuna and two sails on the way in. The Tuna were in a different area. We requested them first so we could eat them the rest of the week.

Next day was grouper on the way out then three marlin and 3 sails.

Then we decided to take the wives the last day as the seas were flat the entire time. 1 marlin and 5 sails.

The first leg of the triple crown tournament was running those days and I heard one boat caught 17 sails in one day.

That is an awesome trip. I did a three day trip many years ago , You did way better than I did

Los Suenos is an awesome resort! We fished out of there & Quepos. Awesome fishing grounds! Discussing going back next year. I would like to fish for some Rooster's & some of those giant Snook they talk about. Awesome pics by the way!

fished out of manzanillo about 15 times, the tarpon at the sixahola river are awesome. 7' rods with 20# line and 100# biminis. last one I hooked ran till it spooled 400 yds. of new line, never got to see it but it was a bigun.

awesome pics. whole country is something else.

go to golfito for the roosters and snook, the bay down there has some that will flat kick your backside. see if capt jack is still guiding, he knows the snook well
