34” and full of worms-CPR’D
I Caught it on the same bait (Z-Man ‘Mood Ring’ Trout Trick) that I caught my PB Black Drum on last year. With the colder water temps, I thought it was a Flounder that thumped my lure acting all sluggish-like...Still fun though!

In a couple weeks the BIG ONES should be showing up and hang around thru March. There is a
14'' - 30'' slot limit. TPWD states you can keep no more than one OVER 52'' per person per day
and counts as part of
the daily bag limit and possession limit, which is 5. The 52'' length came about a few yrs ago
to allow a person to break the State Record (Gulf of Mexico waters)....which was caught June 19, 1988.
Weighing 81 lbs. and 51.18'' in length. This measurement, over 52'', has always bothered me. I never called
or talked to anyone w/ the TPWD about this. Why? I have always felt the measurement should have been
OVER 51'' not 52''. That's my 2 cents worth on that subject. NOTE; If you do not know how to VENT ( release the air in it's air bladder)
a Black or Red Drum, please research that. TPWD will not have those pamphlets in print anymore but you can get on line and look.

How do you know it is full of worms without cutting into it?
I've heard about the worms, but never seen them.
