I have been called crazy more than once when fishing for fish over 100 pounds without a reel, but going underwater, in muddy water, and sticking my hand in a hole is not going to happen. If it wasn’t for alligator snapping turtles, that can weigh over 100 pounds, I might consider it. I like my fingers.

However, the chances of encountering one are very low and I would never criticize someone willing to take the risk.

Yep, takes me back to the good old days, in the early 60s up in Oklahoma, when I was young, dumb, and full of Rum (or whatever). Then I got drafted and learned the value
