Homemade Jig Fish - 02/04/19 02:43 PM

Been pouring some Football heads and tieing some jigs past few months...Gave most away but kept a few for myself

Glad I did...Sure was happy to land this girl last week my 3/4oz Black/Blue/Purple...Dobyns 784

Appreciate the comments ya'll...

Water temp was 49 (Surface temp)

I was sitting in 36 foot of water casting into 26...She ate it almost directly under the boat

She was slow to come up but I was glad catching her that deep I was a little concerned for her health...She swam away healthy and happy (8.2 LBS)

What I cant figure out is WHY HER TAIL IS SO RED for this time of year? Underbelly too...I caught her around rock and I'm pretty she was stuck to the bottom?

I don't know...Maybe she was rooting munching craws?

Thank Ya'll!
