Have seen ospreys hunting fish on the Middle Brazos. Very cool to watch.They can snatch fish out of the river like its nothing.

Dang I forgot all about this post. 
Remember the hawk though. Had to paddle slow to keep from scaring it off, then had to paddle around to another side to get a better picture. Then watched it fly off then come back, then I had to go into stalk mode again. Would be much easier with good camera and a telephoto lens but I have been through 7 or 8 cameras in the last 15 years. They don't last long around me.
