Guide Report: Octoberfest! - 11/01/17 12:23 AM
With October coming to an end, I can't help but to be happy about the last two weeks. I'm still over here at Cedar Creek enjoying the fall run, and given the current water temps, I'll be here through the end of November. I'm looking forward to how much fun we'll be having the next few weeks, but here is how we're catching crappie right now:
Lake: Cedar Creek
Water temps: 67-69, 2ft low
Location of fish: Bridges, docks and brush piles.
Depth: 6-15ft
Bait: Sausage Gravy Thump Chubbies
Rod: 8ft Pro Mag G-Rod
Line: 8lb high visibility monofilament
Reel: Pflueger President
I'm still moving fast from spot to spot. I'm starting shallow and finishing up around 12-15ft. The fish are still preferring natural colored baits, although they are getting less picky. They are also wanting the jig moving around more. We've had some category 4 winds lately, but we're still having fun!

I can't thank you enough, TFF. You've been here since the beginning!
