I made these while I was bored today. These are my first bladed jigheads I have tied.

I like the way the barrel swivel holds the blade away from the body.
I painted these also for plastic baits.

How does the blade work in the water? The swivel looks to be at almost a 90 degree angle to the hook and directly opposite the hook eye. Wondering if the pull of the blade will push the jig hook up and not let the jig travel horizontally when reeled in.
Will be trying them out this weekend.
I tried them out just now to see how the blades did and they worked perfect. It didn't make them rise in the water they went smooth in the water and cast perfect. I fished with a cheap spinning combo I bought at Wal-Mart for like $10. I use it for crappie.

I've never had any lunch with blades. Is it a certain time of year that they prefer them?
Not sure surely you should be able to catch something anytime
I have caught crappie on beetle spins in 20 to 30 ft of water.

A cross between an Indiana and a willow. I think its what comes on a Mepps spinner bait?
I've never seen one will have to look it up and see.
Those are cool I have never seen them. Might see if I can get some ordered soon.
What is a good price to put on the tied and then the jigheads for plastics. I was thinking $.85 for basic jigheads and $1.25 for the tied ones.
