Lake Palestine | Labor Day

Had great weekend of fishing. First trip was with the Botters. Then it was Neil his son in law Roy and granddaughter Page.

This week we fished brush 12-17 foot. Thermorcline is running about 15' but is not set in everywhere. Fish are piled up very well on brush this week. But still you have to pick at them, one or two here. The bite is extremely light. We have been doing a lot of dragging our jigs, rather than jigging them. Seemed to be getting more bites that way.

Hoping with the cooler temps this week will drop the water temp and make the fish more active.

Starting to see a lot of Crappie Anglers of Texas out on the lake getting ready for the state championship.

Fish caught on BoneHead Tackle Lemon Lime Stump Bugs

Thanks guys for fishing with me. I have openings this week is anyone wants to boat some crappie.
