Lake Fork 8-19 & 8-20-17

Joe, Belinda & I got started a little after 8.
Started at some of the spots that I had been catching fish at 2 weeks prior, but could only stick 1 here & 1 there

Finally found a submerged tree in a different area of the lake and stuck some nice fish



Why, even Belinda managed to catch a couple

Joe got a call from a friend that was coming to his camp, so we called it quits with 23

I actually wasn't planning to fish till the next day, but after a couple of guys told me they were going........
Mid-morning, I looked at the fishing reminder on my phone, Excellent day, major feeding period in 1 hour, I just couldn't resist the temptation

Launched at 2946, found a new to me bp @ 11am

They were swallowing the 2" tadpole in Lime Glo-Treuse


Water temp has dropped to 84-85 since I was last out


Was catching fish in 16-19 fow


Gotta love viscous THUMPS!


Had my limit at 1:30
All caught within 200yds of where I started


Redsnappa is getting a short break from his duties in OK, arriving here Thursday night, so we'll hopefully be swinging fish aboard come Friday am

Got a brother up their at the RV park on 2946 ramp. I need to go see him. Did you happen to see a pontoon with a red top and giant umbrella in the front. That would be him.

I can't even sleep without dreaming about fishing! Brandee told me that setting the hook and fighting fish all night is disturbing her sleep, so I had better go line some somewhere!

Hey Travis, Todd didn't tell you, the gates are wide open, the lake is turning over, the zebra mussels are destroying the ecosystem, the giant salvinia has covered the lake, blizzard conditions are forecast for Friday, and he only fishes with minnows now
I plan on being here a few more days. See you tomorrow or Friday.
