Tough Morning But Managed a Few

Hit the water at 6:30 and wondered if the full moon was going to affect the bite. Didn't take long to find out. Fish were really hard to come by. They were there, just didn't want the jig. Had to really finesse them to get bit. Used several baits but the little fry in East TX Killer and Ice Shad on a 1/16 head was about the only bait I could get a bite on. Headed to the trailer at 9:15; finished with 19 and 14 keepers. All fish released for another day.

That kind of bite has been a pretty common occurrence lately. I have even had to buy minnows lately

Good stuff Ken! Keepers have been hard to come by lately for me. I caught about 20 today with less than half keepers.
