Fast and Furious Fifty

Fast and Furious Fifty - 07/03/17 08:56 PM

Took my old buddy Randy out for some crappie fishing yesterday.
Bite couldn't have been any better.
All fish caught on cc spoons over brush .
The shad were thick around the brush, it was the perfect storm .
Hopefully this pic with my buddy and his half will show up .

Sorry for the late response been away from the computer for a bit.
The cc spoons are 1.5" smooth with white or yellow maribou on the treble hook.
Several years ago my good friend Chuck Rollins wore me out with spoons on Lake Fork.
Since then I keep a good supply of them on my boat. If the fish are aggressively feeding,
work them just over the top of the brush pile .Those fish are not from Mills, but my buddies
Randy, Jody, and I have caught some nice limits from Mills, chilling in our tubes, this summer.
The summer bite has been exceptional, I will try to post a few more pics but will probably need help from
doctorxring to get them vertical. The next tailgate pic with half a limit, was from Saturday morning, other
half in the live well. Had to get down into the brush on Saturday with crappie magnet solid bodies on 1/8th jig heads.
