If that is where the crappie are than you can bet your boots that is where I am headed. You can also bet your boots that I'm gonna use my tourney part as a bumper by tying him to the side of the boat (Dave - if you read this you may want to bring nothing but 16 foot rods so we can stay a safe distance from any hazards).

Kirk and DFW - I'll get pics of the trolling motor this weekend but yes it is a Xi5 with a LiftSaver TM Mount. The way it would have set on the front of this boat, I wouldn't been able to mount the TM without the LiftSaver.

I also didn't get what you were saying Kirk until I saw the pic with the seats off the posts. Yeah, I need to put the seats on before Davedave get's onboard.

Hey Ernest - I was hoping you and Guy wouldn't see the pics so I could potlick off you a couple of times before you figured out it was me. I'll make sure I pull over when I see you so I can talk you out of the toon and back into a bass boat.

Thanks for all the compliments on my new girlfriend. She is just what I wanted and I looked at a lot of boats but kept going back to this one for many different reasons.

I just can't wait to take my 'New Girlfriend' out for a ride and break her in right so I get many, many years of great use out of her.

They said you could put a 12" FF in the dash so...............

I cried the whole time while I was hacking on my new boat which hasn't even seen the water yet.

But I am all smiles now!!!!!!!

You kinda went down the long road to keep the name "Blue Nitro" Be safe on the maiden voyage....
If you need a LiftSaver for your new trolling motor give me a call. I know a guy....

Re: Maiden Voyage - 06/15/17 09:01 PM

Thanks David.

David supplied the Fish Finder, Trolling Motor and a few other parts and as always, it was a pleasure doing business with David (I also call him a good friend). If any of you are looking for 'stuff' for your boat and need any installation work or on the water education than you really need to give him a call. I send everyone I know directly to him because he has always treated them right. And he does stock the LiftSaver so you can pick up one of those too or call me/pm me personally and we will take care of you.

Ron we need to get some catfish slime on her maiden voyage to ward off that bluenitro curse, that front deck has plenty of room so we can sort the shad from the castnet grin..as hard as you work you have deserved this boat for a long time congrats

Very sweet looking rig!! Was it at Chambers yesterday? I didn't see it if so but we were crashing into trees all day. Take that sucker to Cooper or Fork and fish the Bois D Arcs and get it broke in right! That or like dude said cast net a buncha shad on the front deck!! My boats so dirty the carpet foams when it rains!!! roflmao

Not at all. Ron is meticulous. He is gonna be sad the first scratch. Ron just run it between 2 trees right off the bat on purpose. Then you can fish it.

No, we fished out of David's boat. I am trying to find a gremlin with the HDS StructureSacn (won't power up) so all I have is 2D right now.

Speaking of being meticulous, can you spot the one thing in the above picture that is driving me absolutely crazy?

I don't think any shad or catfish will be hitting this deck anytime soon.

I thought she needed a little more blue. There are 6 more lights on the front deck as well as in the tackle box and rod boxes.

OMG - YES!!!

I think they screwed up at the factory because I got the top of the line seats at no cost.

I was complaining to the salesperson about the seats and the brackets on the display boat. They were smaller and the bracket put them on a awkward angle so when I saw my new ones I was very happy.

I also got the upgraded Fury prop for free as well.

You ain't lying Darrell. I thought all the NVT and Parabolic strakes was a bunch of marketing BS but it is one of the best rides out there and I have been on many newer bass boats. We drove her around for 5 and half hours and never trimmed the motor (load on motor during break-in period) and it only burned a little over a 1/8 of a tank.

Lol. I've done a few fiberglass projects and cut on a couple boats myself. I feel your pain. bang

Re: Maiden Voyage - 06/19/17 04:44 PM

Glad you got the Fury prop. I've had a custom prop that was for racing on a bass boat and the Fury prop is the best out of the box prop I've ever put on a boat.

I knew I should have been at David's place when you guys were rigging that boat. But now when we want to find you on the lake, we just look for the 'pimped up' ride. roflmao

Re: Maiden Voyage - 06/26/17 07:26 PM

Thanks for the awesome pics David.

I went over to SUAF and helped put a new Ultrex on Tim's boat and then we all went to LL so Tim could calibrate the new TM so I had to drop a jig while they were doing that and pulled 7 or 8 fish off that pole. Then I put my boat on spot lock and hopped on Tim's boat to show him and mark some waypoints on LL. While I was doing this, David is cruising around getting these pictures. Awesome day on the water with good friends. thumb

Steve - thanks and it is already done so stop by sometime and I will show you what I did.

That's one sweet ride. Let me know when we're doing top speed testing. I love speed. I looked at nitro a lot when boat shopping. That's what I would have gotten if we didn't get the bay boat. Still wanted to go fast so I changed the prop on it. Lol.
