Got out Sat. and Sunday. It was 2 beautiful days to be on the water. Caught 14 keepers Sat. with at least that many dinks. All keepers were in brush anywhere from 9-16'. 1/16 oz. jig-head with Rajun Cajun color.
Sunday was on the water at 6:30 and off at 1:30. Thought I had 25, but when I got to the ramp I only had 24. I need me some remedial counting lesson! Again Sunday I threw back as many dinks as I had keepers. First brush pile gave up 5 keepers in 20 minutes. I did catch a couple of keepers off the water pump tower.
Most keepers came off brush in 9-16' of water. In the deeper piles they were hanging around 10'. Same setup as Saturday.
I did see the sandbass blowing up shad in about 1' of water Sunday. I caught a couple before they stopped and came up 100 feet away. I moved on to my next pile.
