Called Home

Our good friend Mike Wilson Aka wileycrappieman was called home last night to be with the Lord. Our deepest condolences go to his family!
Mike loved to fish and was good at it. Met him years ago when I first started my jig business. Had the opportunity to fish with Mike and I knew from the beginning he was a man of his word. God has called a true ambassador home.

The Good Lord needed another fishing buddy. Prayers sent for family and friends.

Sad news ... when I became a TFF member in 2001 there wasn't a lot of us on here yet .. a few hundred members. Mike , Bert myself and a few others built crappie condos to put on Lake Ray Hubbard .. although I haven't seen him in years he was a great guy .. always willing to help people for what ever needs .. fishing or personal .. RIP, Mike. Always good to see you in the lake, because i know for sure I'm in the right spot.

I felt really bummed out when i heard the news. Fished with him at WRC during its heyday. Good Guy, good fisherman. Talked on the phone with him frequently, we always had a good visit. He would sometimes vent about his issues, sometimes used me as his B&G session sounding board,as well as to brag about his kids, as I would do about mine, and we would swap hotspots and tall tales as well.

Hadn't heard from him in quite some time, and my guess now is it was due to his battle with that monstrous illness.

RIP my friend, and I am holding a good thought for that family you were so proud of.
