I lived down there for 9 years and didn't know anybody that even fished for crappie. Great job on the fish.

Great fish and sounds like a great trip! North end, south end? Jigs, minnows?

This time of year the bridge at Kickapoo creek is a natural funnel. Used to have a blast idling over in the pontoon and tie up to a piling and never move. Livingston has a lot of good crappie in it and most people overlook them for the whites.

I rarely go in or near Kickapoo. I have a lot of brush piles I have set they the years and few know about them. The downside is it's a lot of work.
