I'll "Shut Up" Now.

I've had my first boat for a little over ten years now, and after several months of complaining that I didn't have it set up the right way for crappie fishing, I finally gave Dave Goodson at Shut-Up-And-Fish a call. Mr. Goodson found me a 70lb Maxxum and a 998 side imaging unit. We installed my two new toys at his house the other day, and I can now take people out just the way I used to do.

I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to relearn the lakes I grew up on, before a "side imaging unit" was even a phrase in my vocabulary. I've also enjoyed getting to take my new fishing partner to help me test out jigs and jig heads on the weekends. So after months of complaining, I think it's time for me to Shut-Up-And-Fish!

This little girl is turning into a fishing prodigy. She's been fishing since about April, and already can shoot docks and work jigs around brushpiles. She'll come inside, take two bites of food, then walk back out on the dock with my G Rod and start pitching jigs under my dock and the neighbor's dock. Once she's done catching crappie, she'll take my other pole that's rigged up with a gold aberdeen and start catching bream, catfish, carp and whatever else will bite a nightcrawler. Reminds me of somebody...
