This time it's happening! New Boat Saturday Ranger RP190

Rigging it out with boat buckles, Motorguide Xi5 with pinpoint GPS, Helix 10 SI on top of console. Hook 7 Lowrance came in the console. Helix DI 9 upfront with 12" Balzout. Would have went Lowrance if I could have got 2 HDS 10 Gen 2 but could not find them. I only wanted the Motorguide for Anchor lock and the jog feature anyway. Only problem I see is fishing trees but I don't do so much of that unless I have to and I usually use a brush grabber when I do. Net Girl is more excited than me. She wants to slime it up with Crappie this weekend.

Nice looking rig. It needs some Humminbirds on her to make her fly right. That and a saltwater MotorGuide XI5...and some crappie slime all over to break her in.

You will have to get with Stucky on the slime as it looks like he has them dialed in there on RayBob.

By the post title was there a time it didn't happen?? I remember seeing a boat like that earlier this year somebody was buying in Eastland I think. Can't remember if that was you or somebody else.

I like the new Ranger metal boats. With Fiberglas boats being so expensive I see more & more people buying these. It should last a long time and they are as stable to walk in as Fiberglas.

It is and they treat me like a King too. Thanks everyone. Saturday can't get here quick enough to suit me.

I will Mike. It's the only one I could find with old fat man steps up to the front deck. Easy to get around in and the driving seat is high. No more climbing up out of the bottom of bass boats for me.

Almost got her done for now. Didn't feel bad about not fishing today. Wind gusting to 35 and the Holiday crowd is out. Not to forget the heat!

My skin sounds like bacon cooking a skillet. It's hot brother. Got a fire extinguisher to mount and then the transducer on the trolling motor. This is going to be a trick but I bet I get it figured out. Pics to come tomorrow. Then all I need is a liftsaver mount and I'm done. Ron

Ok it's done until I get my Liftsaver mount from Blue Nitro. He's a few changes I made:

Gonzz and Blue Nitro helped me figure this stuff out on the trolling motor and transducer cable routing.








Moved the plug in charger to this side of the boat where my wall plug is.



Took the Orca mesh bag off the ice chest because it was useless behind it. Screwed it to a block under the seat to hold marker buoys



Turned the Ice chest around so I would have a backstop for flipping crappie in the ice chest.



Now I have everything in the boat ready to fish. Rod locker will hold a 7'10" rod but not an 8' unless broken down. As soon as I can it will be on the water. I'm wore out. Fat men don't bend well nor tolerate heat in a windless garage. It probably won't get to stay in the garage today. I may drive down to the boat ramp to see how crowded it is.
