Is it worth the trip to navarro mills Wednesday

I was thinking about going to nm Wednesday, but I saw there is supposed to be wind out of the south at 17mph. I use have a 12 ft John boat in trolling motor. Is it worth the trip from waxahachie. Is there somewhere I can hide from the wind and still catch crappie. Apr eci ate any info where to fish etc
