That's how much my first grader Noah says he loves me. It's like 100 gazillion if he wants something.

As far as crappie caught all year. Who knows? Enough to be satisfied and learn.

I was only able to fish six times last year, for a total of fifteen hours. All was from my slip, in the middle of the day. I had the pleasure of catching nine crappie.

Those were expensive crappie, given what I pay for that slip.

All were returned to continue growing.

I'm certainly hoping that this year will be different from last year and that we are able to return to fishing in another month or so.

If you mean me the answer is no. You can't imagine how frustrating it is to pay $430 a month for a slip that you can't use. Yes, the pontoon is sitting in the slip but if I/m not there then it's not being used.

I caught one, didn't have a tape measure with me so, I cut my arm off.

When I got home I measured my arm, unfortunately it was only a 10 inch fish.

Good spring, OK summer, great fall, but I sucked this winter. Hope the current pattern changes.

Didn't count the number I caught but I did learn some things. This year my goal is to catch my limit of keepers on a trip.

I was messin with Ketchn...

To fish as much as I like I would need to live on the water, where I could fish day and night. And yes, I've tried but I can't convince the wife to live on the water.

She loves to fish but she refuses to live on the water. Since I can't imagine living without her that means I can't live on the water.

I'm fine, my heart and broken foot healed last August. Now we are trying to get my wife healed from the two back surgeries she had, one the first week of August and the second the second week of January this year.

She's improving so I think we will start fishing next month, if the doc releases her to become more active on her appointment on March 17th.

I did manage 3 limits in 2014, which is more than usual for me. I use bass tackle and big (by crappie standards) baits, so I tend to catch bigger crappie, but not good numbers.

Over 150 keepers that I have pictures of. 4 limits this year going solo.

Myself and 2 buddies caught 1000-1500 @ Ray Hubbard. Amazing how many fish are in this lake. All fish caught on jigs and in 10-16 ft. of water. Needless to say and not bragging, lots of fish fries taking place. Nothing better than fried crappie with Tabasco, onion, and some French fries. That's living!!!

Wife never had crappie before until I fixed them for her, now I think she gets more upset than I do when I come home empty handed...

I'd guess about 200 total, but a lot fewer keepers? Lew fished pretty badly in 2014. Kept one limit in January but most days were hit or miss, mostly miss.

I have no clue how many I caught throughout the year as a total, but I know how many I caught that ment something. Which was 6. Those guys are memorable because I caught them on a Jig and I had never fished with em before until last year.

I came up with a pretty large number
I got a bud though that almost doubled me best I can tell
the lakes here are so full of crappie its hard to imagine the scale of it
the folks that fish for them a lot ketch large numbers for sure
TPW does counts in some spots ....
one smaller lake had a number of around 40,000 kept out of it

Don't know the exact number but, I'm figuring maybe $200 a pound???? Maybe more!!!

yes sir ...I know they sell em from the indian reservation in Canada at 20 a pound
5 pounds a fillets for 100 bux ....seems like a pretty ok deal to me
after dropping the dime every trip out ...the ones I keep come to about
$ 500 a pound ....

my guess is around 400 to 500.....95% on the jigs I make. Plastic were going good during the summer so I am on the fence to get into pouring my own!

I don't know how much it would be per pound since I did not weight them. But if you divide the 9 crappie I caught by the amount I spend on my slip and boat last year it comes to $1038.22 per crappie caught.

Or $1557.33 per day that I was able to fish.

I would like to get that down to $1 per crappie caught this year, which means I must spend a lot of time on the lake once I start fishing on a regular basis again.

I averaged 7 per trip. I need a new plan.

I don't know how many exactly I actually caught, but I had a full limit surrender one time.

i know several folks that managed THOUSANDS of crappie last year
some folks here probably even exceeded the EVER COVETTED ten thousand mark and wont tell
give it up already

I'll make this my goal if I managed to start fishing again by April.

10 K in 9 months = 1111.11 crappie per month or

since those 9 months contain 274 days = 36.5 crappie per day.

Should be doable if I can figure out how to catch that 0.5 crappie each day.

Of course since I will be fishing Joe Pool dinks must be counted since everybody knows Joe Pool only has dinks in it.

I fished Lake Palestine from January to June almost every day. I caught 2 crappie and 1 bluegill. It was a good
year for me.

Cleaning a big mess of crappie always makes me fondly remember those "self cleaning" crappie baskets that would "scale the crappie while you travel to the ramp"...and makes me APPRECIATE those crappie guides that clean the fish for you...that fact alone is almost worth the price of hiring a guide!!!!! Right Lane?! Speaking of Lane...how many fish you think he cleaned this past year....hehehehehehehehehehe
