My Favorite Crappie Bait... With my favorite crappie net...

There's a lot of people that talk about specialty baits... I catch most of my crappie with this bait. Now some people say you would catch more if you would use other baits, I have others and I still end up catching more with this .99 Big Bite bait. Ask Pat:-)

What jighead do you match with it?

Every fisherman ends up with their own personal "go to" color/style bait. It appears you have found yours.

Ain't a thing wrong w that...actually like that color a lot. Haven't seen those in forever but bps sells some a lot like it

A little under 1/8 or 1/6 ounce. Always unpainted...

I love them big bite baits of course not that particular style but the mfg makes sum wonderful baits ...
I use several other renditions of them myself ...

Was in maud two springs ago and the bait shop there had a huge selection of Big Bites. Bought one of those large bags of their orange/chartruese and those tawakoni crappie ate every last one of em...

Aw Awwwagh Professor now why did you have to put me in the middle of a jig thing. Is it a Special Jig LOL? JK I have seen you catch plenty fish with this set up at several local lakes. For you Professor this is your Special Jig last week when it was 104 that evening you flat wore the fish out, and you can't beat the 99 cents price either.

Dude..what is it that jig head is sitting on?? Boat carpet? Idk bout yallbut its so close up, my eyes went crazy looking at it. Weird...anyway..

My favorite bait for a long time till last year or so was an old creme jig. Just couldn't find em anywhere anymore. Also Fin-S shade were a huge go to for me before everyone started making shad imitation jigs. Came in several sizes, the 1.25 in was a KILLER everywhere. Probably still is but all these bigger bait companies took the market I guess

Academy used to sell Big Bite, but I think recently they stopped. Do y'all know where they are sold now? my dad brought this up this evening, he likes them.

I like those big bite baits too. I also KNOW they work as well as any of those other baits. Still have three colors of big bites with the same tail in my tackle box.

Pat and a few my friends like to make fun of my crappie net which is really my wife crabbing net. We go crabbing in Freeport Texas is often as we can.

Tony told me you were out there but I was distributing school supplies to the needy at 2pm.. The City of Forest Hill gave away 500 back packs full of school supplies. there was also a lot of back to school festivities.

Lol. We were lazy fishing today. Didnt get there till after 10:30. Would have done better had we gotten there earlier and had my fishing guide not lost multiple fish at the boat. He needs a lesson on landing fish!
