Who is John Phillips? - 04/16/13 12:18 PM

I dropped my printed magazine subscriptions a few years ago and switched to digital information. Never did buy any Bass magazines so maybe that's why I never heard of this guy. This was written last year and has some good general info for crappie hunters. Mr. Phillips bio is on the same web page.

I have a book written by him. It is one of my favorite.
Masters Secrets of crappie fishing I have had it since the early 90's
(Tactics to catch Crappie year round)
This book was published by Larsen"S Outdoor Publishing.
Get this:

Pat,
That book even references a lake in Texas. Guess it's going on the shelf soon and the more I read of Mr Phillips the more I like his writing.

I always recognized the name John Phillips because I went to school with a guy with the same name. I've seen his articles in several outdoor magazines. I know he wrote quite a few for Crappie World through the years.
