Fishing Slip

Fishing Slip - 11/13/12 05:32 PM

We have had a fishing slip at Scotts Landing for the last year; ours is near the end of docks over deeper water. A few of the guys aren't renewing so we are looking for a few more partners to split the cost. Right now we have 5 guys renewing; we'd like to add 5 more.
Cost is split evenly ($3370) by however many we end up with. 10 total would be ideal for $337 each.
Slip is brushed out, storage box, electric/water included, covered, folding chairs in the box.
Winter/Spring fishing can get pretty good for crappie/sandies plus good for cats as well. Occasional bass shows up.
The lease will be renewed Feb 1st. Must be paid in full by Jan. 15.
Let me know if you are interested or have any questions.

Hey, since you ignored my questions, I'm assuming it's just bare bones? Matthew was telling me about some guys on Hubbard, I believe it was that had all the above ammenities AND, hot and cold running pole dancers!!! How you gonna beat that? I mean, it's not like down here on CCL where all we have are the WallyWorld honeys!

Re: Fishing Slip - 11/28/12 02:15 PM

The ones on Hubbard just got took to jail!

Re: Fishing Slip - 11/28/12 02:20 PM

oh, we have all that and the pole dancers too but the dancers are from the nursing home just up the street; I keep fishing their teeth out of the lake for them.

The slip is covered, water, electric, storage box, etc.

the gasp of suprise when I tuck a $20 in their lederhosen causes their dentures to fall out; right into the water.

Bryce-- I keep trying to explain that the more structure and brush we have in he slip, the better. I caught 10 huge crappie in the same spot where Earlene lost her dentures. Bamboo, PVC, and dentures make great crappie condos!

Re: Fishing Slip - 11/30/12 03:12 AM

is it just a roof on the slips or is it a house with sides and front?

Re: Fishing Slip - 11/30/12 12:53 PM

Completely covered and we have a wall on one side where the marina equipment room is. In other words, all weather.

$3370 A Year.

Damn, that is a hell of an expensive all weather boat slip. Wonder how much that works out to the pound of fish caught.

Re: Fishing Slip - 12/05/12 07:57 PM

I'll be at the slip this Saturday 10am if anyone else wants to check out our slip/become a member. Free Beer (for me if you bring the beer).

What's a pound of crappie sell for a Kroger and I'll work up a price per pound at the slip.

Re: Fishing Slip - 12/06/12 04:23 PM

it's one of the larger slips but if we calculated the cost of fishing per pound caught we'd all be in the spouse dog house.

Re: Fishing Slip - 12/06/12 04:32 PM

Counting all the sandbass I've taken out there, I'm probably doing pretty good, unless you add in minnows. Lol

You won't regret getting in with us, lots of fish to catch real soon! Our area of the dock is realatively quiet. Never had a crowd there at all this last year. I fished mostly after work in the late afternoon and early evening and was alone a lot (which I liked).

Re: Fishing Slip - 12/30/12 03:24 AM

Boats do get parked from time to time, but I don't think most of us have boats. I'm a kayaker myself.
