Holy Cow, I am still trying to get a handle on summer fishing patterns. I can't even spell Fall yet.

Fishinrob, Come on back friend. Gosh, there is at least a couple weeks of ribbing before fall gets here. I really do have to watch what I say I guess. Sort of reminds me of Back Reeling. We all know what happened on that one. Dang, give us another chance. When Fall rolls around, you will get all the help you need.

This is just a guess, but in 2011 I would bet Fall will roll around in late September or early October. Another indication will be chilly temperatures in the 40s. When that happens, it will be Fall Crappie Time. They will be Hungry!!!

In my limited experience with crappie fishing Fall/Winter is the best time to catch'em. I do very well in creeks using jigs under a bobber. I still haven't figure out how to catch'em in the Spring/Summer time and pretty much given up and wait for Fall/Winter to come around. Good luck & good fishing

they seem to go to the shallower piles before they go deep, they are more aggressive and will chase a lobbed bait more readily, they arent as picky, and usually catch the biggest fish of the season. They move around alot because of the cooler weather and less intense light penetration. Fish fast, move often, and dont rule anything out.

OK so please explain to me what was so DEVASTING about his remark. I am sorry about your condition, but like was said earlier, I think you just need to lighten up a bit. (I could be wrong now, but I don't think so) so sings randy newman on Monk
