Friday Night Tourny At Ray Hubbard

There is a Tourny for Jig fisherman at Harbor Bay Marina every Friday night from 6-11pm. $5 for best five fish and a side $5 pot for biggest fish.
This has been a bunch of fun and we would love to see more TFF members there.

Was completly slammed with work all through the holiday's, didnt wet a hook. Maybe I could sneak off for a few hours Friday night, bring a friend or two. Can you give directions, never fish Ray Hubbard, someone told me there were no fish in that lake.

Sprky: It is only on friday but you can start after 6pm. I have started as late as 7:30 and still been in the money.

Bobby B: Take I-30 east to Horizon Rd. Turn left and go over the bridge and railroad overpass. Make a left into the marina.

Does someone bring a scale or does the marina have one, because I thought the marina closed earlier than 11pm?

Is this for all TFF members and friends? This tourney sound great. We pay when we get there or what's the procedure? Is this winner takes all?

Myself and a couple of friends might want to joint this tourney.

Anyone is welcome to fish. You pay when you get there. 1st place is 80% second is 20% and third fishes for free the next week. You can enter either or both pots.

FYI: fishing is on the pay doc only during the tournament. There is a flyer in the store that will tell you all about it.

The pay doc will run $6.50 per for one pole. Good for 12hrs.

Who won the tourney last Friday? How are the fish biting at night?

Slab-finder: A friend of mine name of Ray won last week. Top two stringers had 4 fish each (weather)and big fish was about a 1.5 pounds.

It really has been anybodys game on any given night.

But what fun, tasty slabs and a chance to get paid to eat them.

I've heard that name around the dock a few times. I will be there next Friday. Can't fish this Friday night,because I will be at Harbor Bay to fish in the morning & I heard that you can't fish the day of the tourney if you want to enter that night

I don't think that is correct. Get flyer from the store and call the guy organizing the show.

Can you all over the doc even the boat slip or just a particular area set for tourney?

Since the wind is still predicted to be howling tommorrow, I guess I will come on out and fish the barge tourny tonight. I will have my scales with me from my tournaments if needed. I haven't fished there in about 5 years so I guess I will be donating to the pot. I will also bring some of my info on my tournament for the new year.

I dont do much jig fishing so i probally wont enter tourny. but may come fish just for the hell of it anyhow seeing as its in my neck of the woods. maybe i learn a thing or 2 and enter next week.

I may give it another shot, last friday it was black bass night only, couldnt catch a crappie But I have a new plan for this friday

Tons of fun last night fighting the wind and all. Congratulations to Mike on first place and big fish. I had to settle for second but had to show up 2hrs late as normal.

Cold is an understatement. It was freezing with the wind nearly blowing me off the dock. I managed a few crappie and a nice bass. I'll probably try next week though. Nice meeting the TFF'rs out there.

1rst stringer 65 dollars
first big fish 70 dollars

I believe if my math is correct it was $56 and $70.

Greg, I am going to try and come by to say hi to all of you on Friday. My sons Scout Troop has a cross over to do at 7:00.

After seeing how well they bit on Wed. night, I think it is going to be a great time Friday.

How good were they biting...what were you using... I plan on being there tomorrow, if my wife let's me out.

3 of us had 21 keepers and a ton of throw backs in about 4 hours.

We were using Bud cans with treble hooks and speckle tailed side walkers. LOL

well they got my wife workin 10-7 out at parker and the tollway in freaking plano now. by the time she gits home aint much time left. so dont guess i'll make may of these they even got her working sat's now. killin my fishing days. i plan to go out sun though. donno where i will go yet. if anyones doin any fishing sun and wants a partner lemme know. i;m game.

Big ones are starting to come in. Largest one last week at the tourney was 1.99/ and I am sure 2+ are next.

Last week 1lb 9.9 ounces and this week 1lb 11 ounces. They just keep getting bigger.

Does this tourny last through the summer?

I don't think it will go past May at this point.
