For those who are new and weren't around last year, this is a day to put some names and faces togeather,share info., and hopefully catch some fish. Those who don't have boats will be put with boaters. We had a great fish fry afterwards. It was one big ball of fire(No pun intended)Suggestions are open for dates. I'm definately not the expert here on what would be the best time. I personally will be at Fork April 19th thru 24th. Walleys tournament is on the 18th of April. So what do yall think? Sharon

I'm in if I am in town or not booked. Crappie tourneys are gonna eat about 2-3 Saturdays a month for awhile. If I can make it, I can handle 3-4 nonboaters.

JUST A SUGGESTION. APRIL 5 OR 12. THIS WOULD BE THE TWO SATURDAYS PRIOR TO W. MARSHALL'S TOURNAMENT AND WE COULD PRACTICE FOR THE TOURNAMENT.

WEATHER SHOULD BE PRETTY WARM AND FISH WILL STILL BE SHALLOW.

SHOULD BE A LOT OF FUN.

How about March 30th.That's a Sunday I think. That's when the Telephone Pioneers are going to have a charity tourament on C.C. They are going to have FREE hamburgers & fixin for all team entries after the tourament and have a fishing swap meet also. The entry fee is reasonable with a pretty good payout for a charity type of tourament.

I'll be there if the date is right. I didn't get to make last years, but will try like heck to make it this year. If Jerry is gonna be there, count me as a non-boater (LOL!!). I think that Ernest is onto something as well. If we did it either weekend before Wally's tourney, that would just be a plus to all that are going to fish it. What do you guys think? After we get a list of people we can see better how much fish we need(for the fish fry) and start a list from there. My thought also is to try to get donations from some sponsers for prizes. Leadhead, sorry buddy but work has me off the water untill July. I'm not going to be able to fish one dang good tourny this year. So 1st place is now up for grabs.

Well here's what I see, some said the 5th buy either day would be fine, some said the 12th, couldn't make it on the 5th. What do you say lets just start off with saying the 12th and get your responses on that being the final date. In the end all of our decisions will be made as a group, definately not me. Now I need to know who has a boat and how many it will hold, and then who does not have a boat. Sharon

We will be on Pickwick Lake in MS on the 5th. The 12th looks like Eufala for a Crappie USA tourney. I am not 100% sure about the 5th but it looks like we will try and fish that one. If not I will be at the get together here.

Ok, count me in for either date, and I will most likely be able to doante quite a bit of sandbass to the fry. I am assumng that the run will start soon. Last year I bagged about 30 lbs of filets. I had two large fries and still had enough left over for a couple small fries. I will just need to know how much we need, and get mudcat, dlee96, and anyone else I can to help me carry out and clean all those sandies...

I will have to be a non boater, since my 2 man can't handle the wake from the big boats, much less waves. lol

Sharon it was nice getting to visit with you last night during intermission. You can put me down for a non-boater. Either day works for me.

Sidelt67 you just tell me when and where and I will help you catch and clean fish all day. It was good meeting you also. We will have to fish sometime for sure. We can make it a outing.

I want to go but similar to another post I read I am not sure if I can commit that far in the future. Who knows what could come up. Then again I am sure that is the same for all of us. I will mark my calendar and plan on being there.

Hi Sharon, I am interested in hte tourny you have mentioned. Is this a open tournament for anybody or TFF members only.I plan on fishing Wally's tourn the following week-end. If I have my dates correct.Just wondering what type of entry fee and payout there will be if any. Not real familiar with any hot spots on Lavon but live in proximity and plan to fish those waters soon.
