Lake level jump

Lake level jump - 09/09/22 02:12 AM

My lake had jumped 7’ or so the last couple weeks.

What will that do for the crappie fishing?

Can’t say it was too hot before this jump. Hoping it’ll kick start something.

Lake Ray Hubbard was down 5 ft and Crappie where hitting fair. However with the influx of Rain the lake gained about 2ft and it seems like the cooler water has them got them going better than before.

Thanks, Steve. I appreciate that.

No idea what the water temp is but I was hoping cooler water would help.

I need to make my way up to see James again.

This time of the year, with fall just around the corner plus the cooler water the crappie should turn on. Feeding should pick up with even more cool weather.
