I’ve driven past that water 100s of times and thought it should be killer for bass. Ever so often I’d see people fishing it, before all the construction. So that tells ya how long ago it was (80s & 90s) It ought to be pretty good, I’d think. Access back then was just walking thru a big field. Now, I don’t know how you’d access it.

There looks like there is a concrete walkway within a few yards of the ramp that goes allll the way to the Fishing dock/ piers and beyond.

That lake was originally dredged to get topsoil to build 35. It was later used as a showroom on water for a yacht sales place out of Lewisville. That's why there are boat slips. I've put several boats in and scanned the whole thing. Very little structure but that sucker is deep. Like 30-40 feet across most of the open part. There used to be pretty good crappie on those pilings but not lately.

I believe this was part of a racing track/speedway. Dallas International SpeedWay. I think they made these ponds to get dirt to level the rest of the area.
Very deep. I have not caught much in that particular pond, but the general area has been good to me.
I have not been there for a few years, but behind Academy Sports worked out well for me.

Found a link, horribly designed website, but some nice info

I used to fish there a lot. Caught a bunch of bass, crappie and sandies. Was surprised to find the sand bass but I guess it is a big deep pond and full of shad. I see kayaks out there frequently as I work in the area.

If you go fish it, please note the dock is in poor condition.

Full of Bass and Crappie, Spring fed. very very clear water and never fluctuates as it is spring fed. Phill Dill sold yachts from there many moons ago and yes there was the race track out there as well. This site is where they had the large music festival two weeks after wood stock and this site is where Led Zeppelin was introduced for the 1st time. I have 5 cars marked on the other side. I have 6 brush piles I dropped and there is a sunken boat as well.

Here is one upside down by one of the bridges between the two different apartment complex.

Here is another.

I have two buoys still out there marking two more. One is a truck. Lewisville Fire uses these vehicles for dive draining after I cued them in on the issue.

I recall abt 10 years ago there was a common ramp on stillhouse lake that " crime " cars were drove into the water.. miscreants would steal a car, go pull some dirt, then ditch the car..
abt 5 a year were being pulled out,, I recall one fisherman launched his boat, and got high centered on a sunk car right out from the ramp.. ha
I wonder if these got there for the same reasons.

I wouldn`t doubt it LP Who knows?Only the criminals I suspect.I remember A few years ago there were a dozen pulled from the old California Crossing spillway near Los Colinas during a renovation project that were linked to crimes. [Linked Image]

As mentioned above, All of that water in that area is loaded with crappie and all kinds of fish. I don't fish it much but know of several that do well in that area.
