Shallow Black Crappie

I know they are probably fairly common to catch, but this is about the darkest crappie I’ve ever caught. A really pretty fish. About 18” of water on lake Waco. Looking forward to the spawn!

I picked up 7 this afternoon in about 6 ft water, all males. Water temp 58 to 59 . Daniel

Got 8 today in 12”-16” love that jig bite! :thumb

I'm planning to hit Lake Waco if the wind will ever calm down a little bit. It's just been stupid windy every single day that I could go.

That's the truth. I finally just went anyway and it was tough... got a few to bite though.

It will. Its running 2 weeks late this year. Should go well into may and even into june on some lakes

We just need some good rain, to get runoff in the creeks, raise the creek water level a bit, get that full moon in the air…can’t wait!

I’ve been doing well by my standards on Waco for the last couple weeks. I have found them from 2 to 6 The bad thing is that I’m not going to have any time to go back for at least a week or so. Ugh!ft[img]http://[/img]
