Produced by one of the best tricks I've used:

Use lake water to mix - chlorinated is a no no. No minnows no problem.

Good luck out there - we're getting them in AL.

They are beautiful out of the water, and tasty out of the grease!

Do you guys catch many with a stripe? This one was the first for me and I've been at it a long time.

Maybe that's why I never caught one - in FL we caught black crappie (speckled perch is the name there) almost exclusively and here we get white crappie, rarely a black.

In NE Texas they are few and far between.

Ray Hubbard has quite a few of those. Cedar Creek not as many.

I've caught a couple of them on Benbrook. We always called them Magnolia Crappie.
