Nice! What weight fly rod & what flies do you use? I had a tank I could fish and would cast my 8 1/2 Granger bamboo rod with a 6WT Cortland Ghost Tip line and use Frankie Shiners and Black Nosed Dace flies. Killed them!!! And olive Wooley Buggers naturally

We use a 9' 3wt or 4wt Redington, we tie all our flies, our crappie flies look just like crappie jigs.

That is a fun way to catch crappie. I'm too old to do that any more. My favored fly was a yellow dry fly used behind Pure oil lake dam.

Here on Pines the crappie are moving back in to the creeks, out yesterday looking around and getting for trips for next week, for fly fishing for crappie.
Has anybody fished Bridgeport? Are crappie biting at Bridgeport?

Crappie on the fly, some crappie have started move in to the stump field in 5 to 8 feet on water this pass week. just need about a week of warm days to may fly fishing better.

this pass week the crappie have move back into some of the creeks, water temp 62 -67 found some in 3 to 4 feet. fly fishing for crappie is to much fun.
