Is often frowned at but those big'uns are actually a lot of fun on the long rods.....

Not my biggest but he had heart and gave a great fight.....

Nothing more fun than watching Debbie chase a 8 pound goo around the boat on 8# line on a 9 foot crappie rod.
The hardest part was getting her to hold it for the picture,..!!

Thanks SK good video. An 8 1/2 lb goo is a big one on crappie tackle. I caught one last year at Somerville that went 17.5 but that was on much heavier gear...Lawton

Yes I caught one twice the size of this one around a year ago and it was on a long rod also..... These fish are underrated for sure.....

I crappie fish at Pk almost every week. Hardley ever have a trip when I don't get a huge LM Bass or striper. Those 10 foot rods wear them out.

I don't have striper on my lakes and hear they're great fighters...... Those LMB can be a pain here also.....
