Managed a Few Before Murphy’s Law hit

Managed a Few Before Murphy’s Law hit - 04/09/21 02:01 PM

Got Dad out yesterday and we managed 20 before Murphy’s Law hit and ruined the day.

Our Trolling Motor and our Remote decided to quit communicating with each other.
We tried new batteries in the remote.
Tried our spare remote and it was the same result.
The remote and the trolling motor simply do not want to talk with each other.
They say they are talking to each other, it says it is doing what we commanded it to do, but it does nothing.
I am sure it’s something really simple. It was working fine right up until it wasn’t.
Gonna have to get Tech Support to help us figure out where the issue is at.
It’s all good until it’s not. roflmao

This has never happened to us before and we are pretty seasoned at fixing issues on the boat.

Murphy threw us a couple heaters and a curveball and we Struck Out.

We still had fun while it lasted, and it was an absolutely beautiful day.

Wish we had a little longer day so I could have taken more pictures.

ACC we were using the new 13’ Super Grip Crossover for the very first time and man do we like those rods!
They feel great in your hand.

Lane Palmer / Constant Pursuit Outfitters- Blazin Raisin Thump Buddies put every single one in the boat again.

Tight Lines to All.

Had the same problem 2 weeks ago on Cypress Springs, no response to the remotes, (Motorguide Xi3). Turned out it would do it whenever we lost satellite contact (yes, doesn’t make much sense), seems like it was ignoring the remotes while searching for the satellite.

Those are some nice fish in the live well. Great catch! I’m awaiting a couple 12 ft ACC rods. They’re my first and I can’t to share the experience.

Bustin up the white perch with the ol’ man. Mine will be coming over from Abilene on the 24th. I hope we can find and catch some with on Tawakoni or Lavon.
