Lake Washington update!!! - 04/08/21 11:38 AM

This place is no Grenada but oh well!!! Catching fish but no quality. Finally had a couple tournament fish yesterday. We did manage a cooler full of eaters over the last couple days. I’ve been casting 1/8oz hand ties to most my fish. Somebody will find the good ones. They always do! Sand bass are spawning under the docks I guess. They are loaded with em. Caught one crappie off a dock. Felt like I should throw him back to teach other crappie they can live on a dock too! Last day to prefish today

I am booked through April but my earliest days are May 25-26 and Sunday May 30th! I love late May and June. Holler if you wanna get on some slabs!

Thanks y’all!

Well day 1 didn’t go as planned but day 2 was better!! Wind blew our starting spot out early so we ran to the area I caught the fish in the pic at and several other teams were in there too. Did pull weight fish off docks both days. Needed to upgrade some fish day 1 and have a kicker and we might have had a chance. Had a 1.86 day 2 and all our fish day 2 were over a pound! Day 1 we weighted in 3 fish under a pound on our scale and that’s after culling up 5-6 times! Seems like those MS fish are in a different place every time the sun shines. I used a Shad colored hand tie all week prefishing and on tourney day they wouldn’t touch it and I switched to chart and white with a pink head! Clay used purple and chart with a pink head till tourney day and they wouldn’t eat his either so he went to silver and yellow with a pink head. Funny how something changes these fish up at the drop of a hat. Learned a lot and got to make some new friends. Steve Coleman stayed behind in on the other side of the duplex we were in and went to dinner with us one night. It was cool to hear his stories and see what’s they do with things. Him and Ronnie have won over a $1M crappie fishing. Course that probably means they spent $2-3M!!

Anyhow thanks for the well wishes and support! Back to Grenada next month for ACT! Hope somebody pulls the plug and let’s some water out before then!!

Forgot the rest of the story! It was a long day! roflmao

Day one we had 9.19 with 3 fish under a pound on our scale. To be fair they were probably over a pound as we only had 8.35 on our scale. Day 2 we caught 2 weigh fish off a dock early and moved around to scratch out a few more and the wind finally shifted and we could fish the area we started on day one and that was a good move! We picked up our 2 best fish of the day in there and ended with 10.70 on day 2! This was more in line with what we thought we could do. Glad to see we could finally get it together for 2 days and make a top 10.

I’m ready to punish some E Tx slabs now!! cowboy
