Thump Therapy

Thump Therapy - 04/02/21 10:27 PM

Due to all sorts of reasons we have not been able to get out weekly like Dad and I are used to being able too.

We got out early March for the first time since November 2020.
Managed 24 on Day one.
Came back the next day and caught a grand total of one.
No pictures for either day.

Talked to some of my friends who are guides and they told me the way the Lakes had been fishing 24 was an absolute stellar day. They said the fishing conditions were the toughest they had seen in two years.

We were happy to be on the water and spend some time together.

We knew we just needed the Lakes to soak in some of that Texas Sunshine and warm up a bit.

Finally, got a day where the wind wasn't blowing like a hurricane for a few hours and I was able to get Dad out for some Thump Therapy yesterday.

We managed 26 and considering our long breaks between fishing, the roller coaster of weather (Winds, Rain, Extremely High Barometer 30.58 at one point yesterday)...we thought it was a stellar day.

Wind started howling pretty good around 1pm and the bite for us once it did went downhill.

We used our ACC Crappie Stix 12 Footers and our 5'6" rods.
12-23 Feet was the water depth we concentrated on.
Bite was as shallow as 10 Feet and we had them bite as deep as 20 Feet.
We did something we have not done in quite sometime...we fished plastic.
Constant Pursuit Outfitters Thump Buddies in Blazin Raisin put all 26 in the Livewell.

Wish I had more pictures. Will hopefully get some more on our next trip.

Tight Lines to all.

Sweet. My dad and I fished together a bunch, sure do miss that. You got to fish with your dad and catch a mess of crappie. Don’t get much better than that.
