Navarro Mills 2-9-21 - 02/10/21 09:29 PM
Got out to Navarro Mills for about 4.5 hours yesterday. Didn’t get there until about 10:00 and left about 2:30. Fished mostly on the north side as the wind was a bit more than the 5-10 forecast. Water temp was around 48 degrees. The brush had plenty of fish but not many takers. All that did bite were hanging on the edges. The stake beds were another story. Ended the day with 31 total fish with only one being short. The biggest was 1.75. I didn’t measure that one. Caught 2 others that were 1lb 11oz. Had 3 blacknose in the mix, also. The bite is really good if you can stand the wind and cold. It will probably be another week before I try again. 1/4 oz. hand tied feather jig in black and chartreuse was all I used. Stake beds were in 17-20’ of water.
