I usually post in the catfish section. But on Saturday, my boat partner and I stopped at our bluegill honey hole to catch catfish bait. While he was busy catching bluegills, I decided to use a crappie jig with a Berkley Gulp bait and cast to the shoreline. I hooked a crappie on the first cast. I spent the next two hours and literally caught a crappie on every cast. 99% were undersized, but I managed to put 10 in the live well. The last time I caught crappie like this was over 30 years ago on a trip to Lake Fork. And I had the same boat partner then as I did on Saturday.

Catching crappie is more fun than catching blue gill or cat fish! bolt
