Ray Hubbard 6/8 - 06/09/20 02:03 AM

Fun little quick trip on Hubbard this afternoon. Explored some new water and found a nice tree with some slabs hanging about. Pitched out any color jig with a nibble and ended the day will 11 nice keepers. Kids had a blast jumping off the back of the boat swimming while I reeled in some slabs. 2:45-4:45 fishing at this tree. I took quite a few 5 min breaks to jump in my self. It was HOT out there! I have a helix 9 mega SI g2n.

Hubbard can be tough but when ya find them it can pay out. I’ve spent quite a few years just idling in the right depth zone for summer crappie and marking trees and brush. If fishing is slow or tough in winter, I’ll spend that time looking for new spring and summer trees and mark for later.

That's a great screenshot! It's so cool when you can even see their tails in the shadow. cheers
