Aquilla again! - 05/19/20 11:07 PM
Well the spawn is not quite over yet. Went out looking for just bigger fish today. Ended up keeping 10, the smallest was 12”. 3 still had lots of eggs. See picture of the fat one. Sorry but I didn’t think to look at water temp. Biggest three fish came off timber north of the bridge by Dairy Hill. Saw a guy with his two sons at my first stop. What a pleasure watching them fish, and no I wasn’t pot licking. It’s great to see a dad taking his kids fishing. They had obviously been many times as they were pretty young and were casting and a cranking. Anyway I didn’t find a lot of big fish on the brush. Lots of 10 and 11” fish. Could have had a limit easily by 10. Same baits, 1/4oz jig head with bark body chartreuse tail and solid chartreuse. The two color was better today. I did try a 1/8oz jig head but they didn’t like the slow fall, so went back to 1/4oz.
