How do you....?

How do you....? - 04/03/20 08:52 PM

How do you remove the fish smell from your hands? I have worn gloves, especially while cleaning them but somehow my hands still stink! Well, they don't stink to me, they just remind me that I had a good day. I have tried different soaps, and hand cleaners and no success. If you have had any success, please share. Thanks in advance!

Dish soap and salt. Put some table salt in your hand and then the dish soap. Rub it in real good. Rinse it off.
No water on your hands before the salt.

Days of eating them fish removes the smell. I've gotten where I wear gloves, but I don't mind if it still comes through. If my hands are that fishy, I know I've had a pretty good day or two.

Thanks for your responses. I am going to try all of them once I get out of the house and IF I catch anything. Speaking of which, can we go fishing or will we get fined?

Good one Jim. Not bragging at all. Guess I should have initially said whenever I DO catch fish. I have gotten skunked so many times that I can't smell the skunk smell anymore.

I had learned this that you should rinse your hands of with fresh water first after cleaned the fish and then use soap. This always work for me.

I saw an interview with an East Indian who said cow urine works. It's best if you can run out in the pasture and wash your hands in it straight from the source.

Fast Orange hand cleaner works well I apply it when i get into the shower, it works great, for when I stop at a inside somewhere to eat on way home I'll have to try the shaving cream it could roll around boat without leaking.

I wash with dawn and hot water for a long time. Then I run some vinegar on my hands.

Every one of those bars I have ever seen for sale is stainless steel. I've never seen a "chrome" one.

Good ol' yellow mustard. Just squirt a little on your hands, rub it around, rinse then soap and water. My f-i-l taught me this years ago.

Just rub them on whatever shirt your wife is wearing!

She is already mad at you for going fishing anyway so why not give her a real reason to be mad. wife
